It's just so nice to get a present when you finished your internship. I got this soft sweater from the atelier of Figen Özdenak who is the fashion designer and the founder of Gen Butik. It's so special for me becauae that i know the people who designed it, made its pattetn, sewed it and sent it to shops. I learned lots of terms of sewing and the stages to create a garment. So this shirt equals 12 people for me. Also i really really figured out that there are lots of dificulties and details even if you produce just one shirt or a shawl. Because you just see a garment hanging when you entered a shop. But beside that, maybe tens maybe hundreds of people work just for one garment. (pattern making, cutting the garment, sewing, handstitch, ironing, labelling, sending to shops..) And in each stage, designer should check everything. Even though it's so stressfull, as a designer when you see the whole finished garment, watching that the dreams come true, also touching and feeling the garment should be a wonderful feeling. So that i decided to choose that job even just to feel that feeling.
Thank you Figen Özdenak !
